Different stakeholders often hold views on the problem that are unclear, contradictory and too broad or too narrow.  This can lead to the risk that we embark on problem-solving without a a specific, accurate and consistent understanding of the problem – something that often comes back and haunts us later in the project.

What will you learn?
How can you establish a clear understanding of the problem you are solving?  What are the key questions that you should address upfront as you launch a strategy project? This class introduces you to a set of tools for systematically defining the scope of a strategy project, using a combination of lectures, stories and role-plays.  You will also gain awareness of the pitfalls you are likely to face at the start of a project, and how to avoid them.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

Building Trust-Based Relationships

Is there a new personal strength you want to cultivate, or a weakness you want to conquer?   For most of us, changing ourselves is challenging, and so we frequently fail at keeping our resolutions.  And yet, as our roles in life and leadership keep changing, it is critical for us as indviduals to grow and evolve.

Duration: 2 hours
Access: 4 weeks from Enrollment

Why is this important?
Trust is one of the most crucial drivers of success in our professional relationships.  But it is a highly intangible asset, and we often have limited awareness about how our behaviors are building or eroding trust with colleagues and clients.

What will you learn?
This session helps participants realize how trust is so central to their professional success, and then introduces them to the key building blocks of trust.  They learn a number of behaviors for developing each of these building blocks.  Through a series of engaging role-plays, participants get an experiential understanding of how behaviors unconsciously build or erode trust in the workplace, and how they can consciously adopt certain behaviors to strengthen the trust with which they are received within and outside their organization.
